Returns & Refunds Policy
75 Homees Pty Ltd
Last Updated: 17 October 2026
At 75 Homees, we aim to provide a transparent and straightforward returns and refunds process for customers purchasing shipping containers and container cabins.
This policy explains our return eligibility requirements, refund processing times, return transportation responsibilities, and the procedures customers should follow when requesting a return or refund.
1. Return Period – 30 Days
75 Homees offers a 30-day return period for eligible products.
Customers may request a return within 30 calendar days from the date their container is delivered.
To initiate a return, customers must contact our team within this period and provide the relevant order details.
Our voluntary 30-day return period applies to eligible change-of-mind returns and does not limit any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a voluntary return, the following conditions must be met:
- The return request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
- The container must remain substantially in the condition in which it was delivered.
- The container must not have been materially damaged by the customer.
- The container must not have undergone unauthorised structural modifications.
- The customer must provide proof of purchase.
- The container must be accessible for safe return transportation.
Both new and used shipping containers may qualify for returns, provided they meet the applicable eligibility requirements.
For used containers, the condition disclosed at the time of purchase will be considered when assessing the return.
3. Change-of-Mind Returns
75 Homees accepts eligible change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery.
Customers may request a return if they decide that the purchased container is no longer suitable for their requirements.
The container must remain substantially in its delivered condition, allowing for any pre-existing wear or damage disclosed before purchase.
For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation of the container back to the return location agreed with 75 Homees.
The original shipping fee is non-refundable for voluntary change-of-mind returns, unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.
4. Return Shipping Responsibilities
Shipping containers are large and heavy products requiring appropriate transportation equipment.
For approved voluntary returns:
- The customer is responsible for return transportation.
- The customer must arrange and pay for a suitable transport vehicle.
- The customer must ensure the container is safely prepared for collection and transportation.
- The return destination must be confirmed with 75 Homees before dispatch.
- Any return transportation charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Return transportation costs may vary depending on the container size, distance, location, and transport requirements.
Customers should not send a container to our business address without receiving confirmation of the appropriate return location.
Important: Where a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, responsibility for reasonable return transportation costs will be determined in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. The customer-paid return transport requirement above applies to voluntary change-of-mind returns.
5. How to Request a Return
Customers wishing to return a product should contact 75 Homees by email at:
Please provide the following information:
- Full name or company name.
- Order number or invoice number.
- Contact telephone number.
- Product name and container size.
- Reason for requesting the return.
- Current location of the container.
- Photographs of the container, where relevant.
Our team will review the request and provide instructions regarding return eligibility and the appropriate return destination.
Customers must receive return instructions before arranging transportation.
6. Customised and Modified Containers
Containers that have been specially manufactured or modified according to a customer’s individual requirements may not qualify for voluntary change-of-mind returns.
This may include containers with custom structural alterations, additional openings, specialised fittings, or other customer-requested modifications.
Any applicable exclusion should be disclosed before purchase.
This does not affect customers’ statutory rights where a customised or modified container is faulty, incorrectly supplied, or does not meet applicable consumer guarantees.
7. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Products
If a container arrives damaged, faulty, materially different from its description, or is not the product ordered, customers should contact 75 Homees as soon as reasonably practicable.
Please provide the order details, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs where available.
We will review the information and determine an appropriate resolution in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the nature of the problem and applicable legal rights, remedies may include:
- Repair of the product.
- Replacement with a suitable product.
- A partial or full refund, where appropriate.
- Reimbursement of reasonable return transportation costs where required by law.
For a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, an eligible customer may generally choose between a refund and replacement.
For a minor failure, the business may be entitled to provide an appropriate repair within a reasonable time.
8. Refund Processing Time – 10 Days
Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days.
For voluntary returns, the refund processing period begins after:
- The returned container has been received.
- Its condition has been assessed.
- The return has been approved.
- Any information reasonably required to process the refund has been provided.
Once approved, 75 Homees will process the applicable refund within 10 business days.
The time required for the funds to appear in the customer’s account may vary depending on their financial institution.
Where Australian Consumer Law requires a different timeframe or process, those legal requirements will apply.
9. Refund Method
75 Homees accepts payment by bank transfer.
Approved refunds will generally be issued by bank transfer to a verified bank account nominated by the customer.
Customers may be asked to provide:
- Account holder’s name.
- Bank name.
- BSB number.
- Account number.
- Order or invoice reference.
Refund details may be verified before payment is processed to help prevent incorrect or unauthorised transfers.
10. Refund Amount
For an approved voluntary change-of-mind return, the refund will generally cover the amount paid for the returned product.
The following charges are generally excluded from voluntary change-of-mind refunds:
- The original AUD $600 shipping fee.
- Return transportation costs paid by the customer.
- Additional services that were separately agreed upon and completed, where lawfully non-refundable.
Where a refund is required because a product fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, the refund amount and any applicable transportation reimbursement will be determined in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
11. Return Inspection and Assessment
Returned containers may be inspected to confirm their condition and eligibility for a voluntary refund.
The inspection may include checking:
- The general condition of the container.
- Doors, locks, and visible fittings.
- Structural alterations or modifications.
- Damage occurring after delivery.
- Whether the returned container matches the original order.
Normal wear or pre-existing damage disclosed at the time of purchase will be considered when assessing used containers.
If a voluntary return does not meet the applicable eligibility requirements, our team will explain the reason and discuss the available options.
12. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch
Customers wishing to cancel an order before dispatch should contact 75 Homees as soon as possible.
Where cancellation is accepted and a refund is payable, the approved refund will be processed within 10 business days.
If the container has already been dispatched, the request may need to be handled through the applicable returns process.
Any statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.
13. Returns After the 30-Day Period
Voluntary change-of-mind return requests made more than 30 days after delivery may not be accepted.
However, the 30-day return period does not limit rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Customers who experience a fault or another problem covered by applicable consumer guarantees may still be entitled to a remedy after the voluntary return period has expired.
14. Australian Consumer Law
75 Homees operates in accordance with applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements.
Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded where Australian Consumer Law applies.
Customers may be entitled to repair, replacement, refund, or other remedies where a product fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The voluntary 30-day return policy is provided in addition to applicable statutory consumer rights.
